Ο Άγιος Νικόλαος βρίσκεται 110 χιλιόμετρα από τη Θεσσαλονίκη, στην αρχή της χερσονήσου της Σιθωνίας.
Ευλογημένος τόπος και προικισμένος με σπάνιες φυσικές καλλονές, εδώ συνδυάζεται απίθανα το γαλάζιο της θάλασσας και το πράσινο του πεύκου. Με ακτές τριάντα και πλέον χιλιόμετρα, με πανέμορφους γραφικούς κολπίσκους, καθαρές αμμουδιές και πεντακάθαρα νερά είναι κάτι το ξεχωριστό. Με μόνιμο πληθυσμό σήμερα 2.500 κατοίκων η κοινότητα του Αγίου Νικολάου περιβάλλεται από Βορρά προς Νότο με πυκνό πευκοδάσος και προς ανατολάς από τον Σιγγιτικό κόλπο ή κόλπο του Αγίου Όρους.
